Truscott Animal Hospital would like to welcome you, your family and your special family member. We strive to provide complete care for our patients. Our experienced vets have special interests and additional qualifications in soft tissue and internal medicine, and our dedicated team of nurses pride themselves on looking after our patients as if they were their own pets. We are also proud to be a nurse training practice.

The hospital is open 9am to 7pm Monday to Friday, and on Saturday. Sunday is closed.

Separate wards for cats and dogs
The practice has separate dog and cat wards and a separate isolation ward, so our nurses can give the best possible nursing care while your pet is hospitalized with us.

The practice has a fully equipped preparation room, an operating theatre, modern anesthetic and monitoring equipment, and an in-house laboratory that lets us run blood and urine samples for rapid results. We have up to date diagnostic equipment such as an advanced digital X-ray machine and a dental X-ray machine.

Ongoing wellness care is important for every pet, helping to ensure that their lives are as long, healthy and happy as possible. We recommend that all of our patients come in for a complete exam.

Vaccines are an important part of maintaining your pet's good health. If you want to protect your pet from contagious viruses and diseases, it is essential to keep their vaccines current. This is vital even if your cat or dog is mainly an indoor pet.

Dr. Medhat Meawad
Clinic DirectorHe obtained his veterinary degree in 1996 and worked as a large animal veterinarian and in pharmaceutical research and development in several countries before moving to Canada with his family in 2011. He enjoys solving puzzles in complicated medical cases, and doing his share of surgeries, dentistry and exotics. His goal is simple: treat his patients as if they are his own.

Veterinarian SupervisorHer passion to help animals started at a young age in the family home where she grew up with her first cat Kitty and her first dog Picky. She treasures the long term relationships she has developed with clients, and works to make sure the pets we love receive the best care possible and are always treated with kindness, compassion and respect.

Veterinarians, assistants and receptionDr. Ayman Farag, Dr. Christina Farag and Dr. Hala Gergis are the practice's other veterinarians, with Dr. Asmaa Sharara and Dr. Ghazale Gholamnejad working under supervision. Evoun Ibrahim is a veterinary assistant, and Madison Santosuosso, Samantha Smith, Kathalina Salinas, Gloria Zhang, Sophia Sardegna and Angelina Kusznirewicz are the veterinary assistants and receptionists who will greet you at the desk.
